O melhor do Rock in Rio 29/09

RIO DE JANEIRO - O passado e o presente se misturaram no quarto dia de Rock in Rio. A Cidade do Rock pôde acompanhar os modernismos exagerados de Ke$ha e Janelle Monáe e teve a chance de escutar boa música por meio de Jamiroquai e Stevie Wonder. Além de relembrar os sucessos da Legião Urbana.

Na verdade, quem esteve nesta quinta-feira (29) ao evento percebeu que há uma distância enorme entre o que hoje é cultuado como sucesso e o que é até considerado algo de dinossauros. A decadência do cenário musical atual é explícita e ficou evidente em apresentações com muito visual e pouca música.

O que ainda não dá para explicar é como a organização do Rock in Rio deixou a belíssima e talentosa Joss Stone fora do palco Mundo. Não há justificatica. Ao ver Ke$ha dublando, o erro da produção fica ainda mais gritante.

Como ponto positivo, foi perceptível o esforço dos mesmos organizadores em melhorar a estrutura do Rock in Rio. Ao liberar a entrada de alimentos e reforçarem as lanchonetes com mais funcionários, as longas filas acabaram. Os banheiros também estavam mais limpos, assim como o chão de toda Cidade do Rock. Mais lixeiras foram colocadas também.

Single de Lady Gaga é a milésima música a alcançar o topo da Billboard

Pode ter sido coincidência ou um movimento friamente calculado, mas o lançamento de "Born This Way", de Lady Gaga, conseguiu um lugar na história por ter sido o milésimo single a chegar no primeiro lugar da Billboard Hot 100, uma das paradas musicais mais importantes do mundo.

A informação foi confirmada hoje no próprio site da Billboard norte-americana. Lady Gaga comentou o feito: "É uma honra tremenda ser a milésima nº 1 na Billboard. Seria bobagem se eu dissesse que esta é a maior honra da minha carreira."

Apesar das críticas e das acusações de imitar Madonna, "Born This Way" é um enorme sucesso comercial e quebrou o recorde de vendas na semana de estreia de uma artista feminina.

A música de Gaga já vendeu 448 mil cópias digitais desde que foi revelada. O recorde anterior era de Britney Spears, que vendeu 411 mil cópias digitais de "Hold It Against Me" nos dias posteriores à estreia de seu single.

Ainda assim Gaga está longe do recorde total de vendas digitais de singles na semana de estreia: 636 mil cópias. O dono deste número é o single "Right Round", do rapper Flo Rida com participação de Ke$ha.

Niki Schwan, Vibe Magazine's Fashion Director and the celebrity stylist who brought the world some of Nicki Minaj's hottest outfits in 2010, picks out this year's 19 best and worst looks from the stage and red carpet of Grammys 2011.

"The fashion this year was underwhelming," Schwan tells Billboard.com. "There weren't any of the die-hard, envelope-pushing fashions that we have seen from musicians in the past. In the end, there were serious disappointments that far outweighed the best looks."

BEST AND WORST-DRESSED PICK: Rihanna

NIKI SCHWAN: "I am on the fence over whether Rihanna belongs on the best or worst side of this list as far as her red carpet look; she definitely made a statement and  looked sexy. My first thoughts were that the dress had a modern day bombshell feel to it. However, this Givenchy dress ultimately looked like it was made from layers of whipped cream, and personally knowing the kind of selection Rihanna gets, I wonder if this was really the best option for her."

"Although she didn't nail it on the red carpet, I did LOVE her performance costume with Drake. The sheer caftan she had on in the beginning of the song was right on trend for Spring 2011 and was super-sexy paired with her red-fringe ensemble. The beading on her body suit and belt completed her bohemian-chic look perfectly."
