Grammy muda regras e agora homens e mulheres competem igualmente
A organização do Grammy anunciou a reestruturação da premiação que valerá a partir do 54º Grammy Awards, que acontecerá no ano que vem.
Os 30 campos de categorias continuam os mesmos, porém as categorias foram reduzidas de 109 para 78.
A mudança mais importante é a retirada de categorias específicas por sexo. Agora homens e mulheres competem nas mesma categorias nos campos Pop, Country e R&B.
No campo Rock as categorias de Metal e Hard Rock foram fundidas em apenas uma. Também foram retiradas deste campo as categorias "Melhor Performance Instrumental" e "Melhor Performance de Dupla ou Grupo com Vocais".
A categoria de "Melhor Performance em Dupla ou em Grupo" só permanece no campo Country, e também foi eliminada dos campos de Rap, R&B e Pop.
O campo Geral, que contém os quatro principais prêmios da cerimônia (Gravação do Ano, Álbum do ano, Música do Ano e Melhor Artista Revelação), continua intacto.

Grammy Fashions 2011: Best and Worst Dressed

Niki Schwan, Vibe Magazine's Fashion Director and the celebrity stylist who brought the world some of Nicki Minaj's hottest outfits in 2010, picks out this year's 19 best and worst looks from the stage and red carpet of Grammys 2011.
"The fashion this year was underwhelming," Schwan tells Billboard.com. "There weren't any of the die-hard, envelope-pushing fashions that we have seen from musicians in the past. In the end, there were serious disappointments that far outweighed the best looks."

BEST AND WORST-DRESSED PICK: Rihanna
NIKI SCHWAN: "I am on the fence over whether Rihanna belongs on the best or worst side of this list as far as her red carpet look; she definitely made a statement and looked sexy. My first thoughts were that the dress had a modern day bombshell feel to it. However, this Givenchy dress ultimately looked like it was made from layers of whipped cream, and personally knowing the kind of selection Rihanna gets, I wonder if this was really the best option for her."
"Although she didn't nail it on the red carpet, I did LOVE her performance costume with Drake. The sheer caftan she had on in the beginning of the song was right on trend for Spring 2011 and was super-sexy paired with her red-fringe ensemble. The beading on her body suit and belt completed her bohemian-chic look perfectly."

Novos Teasers de Hold It Against Me - Britney Spears
Britney Spears levou às últimas consequências a estratégia conta-gotas de divulgação tão popular hoje em dia (com filmes/eventos/músicas/etc sendo antecipados em uma sucessão de teasers, trechos e fragmentos).
Como preparação para a chegada do clipe deHold It Against Me, a cantora vêm pingando teasers diários desde o dia 4 de fevereiro. Serão 14 micro-clipes até a data de lançamento, 17/2.
Acontece que a chegada da música nova de Lady Gaga meio que desviou as atenções da estratégia de Britney.
Hold It Against Me é dirigido por Jonas Akerlund, o mesmo de Telephone, com Lady Gaga e Beyoncé.

Com 119 prêmios, os produtores do Grammy organizam anualmente uma pré-cerimônia onde são conhecidos os vencedores em 99 categorias. Entre os primeiros contemplados da noite estão Eminem, Lady Gaga, Rihanna e Lady Antebellum.

10. Gorillaz, Madonna & De La Soul, 2006
The 48th Grammys started off as no other Grammys had before -- with an opening band that wasn't even three-dimensional. Animated act Gorillaz took to the stage to perform the Record of the Year-nominated "Feel Good Inc.," joined briefly by the real De La Soul and a hologram of Madonna. But when the real Madge appeared onstage moments later to perform her 2005 hit "Hung Up," with its sexy dancing and ABBA samples, the Grammy crowd truly let loose.
