Black Eyed Peas é processado por usar samples de George Clinton
O cantor e compositor George Clinton está processando o Black Eyed Peas por usar samples da música "(Not Just) Knee Deep" no remix do hit "Shut Up", lançado em 2003.
Clinton é referência na cena funk music e diversas vezes teve elementos de suas canções utilizados por outros artistas. O quarteto, no entanto, não teria autorização para usar os samples. O compositor também acusa o grupo de incluir trechos da música em uma faixa da edição de luxo do álbum "The E.N.D".
O processo pede, além da proibição de futuras distribuições do single "Shut Up", uma indenização de US$150 mil.
