Lil Wayne Drops 'Green And Yellow' Song for Green Bay Packers

Lil Wayne is clearly a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers football team. So much so, that he's taken "Black and Yellow" -- the Wiz Khalifa-helmed anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers -- and remixed it to a Packers-inspired track titled "Green and Yellow." Perfect timing for Sunday's Super Bowl Game, where the two teams will face off for the NFL championship.

If "Green and Yellow" spurs the Packers on to victory on Sunday, Lil Wayne will have watched his favorite team win the NFL title a year after his hometown team, the New Orleans Saints, took home the trophy. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh native Khalifa honored his favorite team by performing "Black and Yellow," which sits at No. 4 on this week's Hot 100, at halftime during the AFC championship game on Jan. 23.

Britney Spears revela primeiro teaser do clipe de "Hold It Against Me"

A cantora Britney Spears divulgou hoje em seu canal oficial do YouTube um teaser muito curto de seu novo clipe, "Hold It Against Me".

O vídeo tem apenas 5 segundos e mostra muito pouco do clipe. No final a mensagem "restam 13 dias" aparece, indicando que o clipe completo sairá no dia 17 deste mês.

Já no Twitter Britney disse que faltam 14 dias para o clipe, o que joga a data de estreia do vídeo para 18 de fevereiro. A cantora também disse que até o lançamento do clipe será divulgado um teaser por dia.

O guitarrista Slash revelou em entrevista ao jornal Los Angeles Daily que estaria disposto a tentar fazer as pazes com Axl Rose e, quem sabe, conversar sobre uma reunião com oGuns N' Roses.

Slash disse que se recebesse um pedido de desculpas de seu desafeto, o vocalista Axl Rose, poderia até pensar numa possível reunião da banda. Mesmo assim o guitarrista não acredita que este pedido de desculpas possa acontecer tão cedo.

"Se isso tudo acontecesse, eu também deixaria as coisas para trás, mas não vejo isso acontecendo", disse. "Mas se um dia acontecesse, eu faria o que fosse necessário para, no mínimo, ter uma conversa a respeito."

Slash largou o Guns N' Roses em 1996 e até hoje não se dá muito bem com Axl Rose, que continua com o Guns sendo o único membro restante da formação clássica do grupo.

Novo single de Britney Spears poderia ter sido de Katy Perry

O produtor Dr. Luke contou em entrevista à revista Rolling Stone que o novo single deBritney Spears, "Hold It Against Me", foi escrito para Katy Perry inicialmente.

Mesmo assim Luke preferiu não entregar a música para Katy Perry por achar que não combinaria com o estilo da cantora.

"Nós planejamos para ela, mas definitivamente não soava como uma música de Katy Perry" Disse o produtor. "Já temos essa música há algum tempo."

Martin também disse que produziu "Hold It Against Me" pensando em algo nunca antes feito por ele.

"Queria ter certeza que essa música não soasse como outras que fiz", disse. "Você pode tocar aquele refrão num violão e ainda vai soar bem", completa.

O novo disco de Britney se chama "Femme Fatale" e será lançado no dia 15 de março. Mesmo com a data marcada, Luke diz que o CD não está finalizado.

"Estamos no meio da produção agora. Nem sei dizer neste ponto quais músicas vão entrar no CD e quais ficarão de fora."

A dupla americana 3OH!3 participou do episódio da última quarta-feira (1) da série Hellcats, exibida nos EUA pela canal CW e ainda inédita no Brasil.

A série é estrelada pela atriz e cantora Ashley Tisdale, que ficou famosa ao participar da trilogia High School Musical.

The new track is classic Timbaland beats and his unique vocal combination of auto-tuned rap and singing, while Brandy lends her gorgeous, and too seldomly heard, voice to the bumping 808 beat.
Let’s hope there’s more to come from Brandy and Timbaland and new music from a solo Brandy as well!

ZUMREED X2 Hybrid Headphones/Speakers

Zumreed’s X2 Hybrid headphones are every music lover’s dream.What makes them unique is that they actually double as either a pair of headphones, or a pair of desktop speakers. As you can see in the photo the outside of the earcups feature an exposed speaker cone, so it’s not like the 40mm drivers on the inside have to do double duty which is good. They only output about 0.5 watts which obviously isn’t booming, but for use at your desk when listening to music they’re probably more than adequate.

In speaker mode the headphones run off a built-in rechargeable battery that’s good for about 4 hours of use on a 1 hour charge, which means the X2’s are probably a little heavier than your standard over-the-ear headphones. But apparently the sound isn’t too shabby so it might be worth the tradeoff for the added functionality. The X2 Hybrid Headphones are expected to be available closer to May for around $165.

When Lady Gaga leaked the lyrics to "Born This Way" online last week, the pop star also revealed the production team behind her highly anticipated next single. Along with Gaga and Interscope producer/songwriter Fernando Garibay, the music is credited to DJ White Shadow -- a Chicago producer and mixtape specialist whose real name is Paul Blair.

Confirms Grammy Performance

As one of the primary collaborators on the Gaga's "Born This Way" album, DJ White Shadow says that he is spending "20-hour days" in the studio to help finish the set in time for its May 23 release. Still, the producer found some time to check in with Billboard.com and share a few details about his collaboration with Gaga, her new album and the sound of its first single, which is set to debut on Feb. 13.

Billboard: How did you come to work with Lady Gaga on "Born This Way"?

DJ White Shadow: Gaga was listening to my mixtapes after someone she knew heard me DJ in a club in L.A. One day Gaga e-mailed me and asked me if I made my own beats. I said yes, sent her some, and she hit me back, this time on the phone, asking if I wanted to work with her on some stuff. I said okay.

When and where did you record the song "Born This Way"? How would you describe the sound of it?

She made it. She came up with the idea, she wrote it. She is a genius. We recorded it around the world, on the road, in whatever was available. It sounds like it reads, but not like you think until you hear it.

Did you work on any other album tracks?

Yes. I have been working on this record for well over a year. It has been awesome. Sonically it is much more complex. It's beautiful. Like a golden spaceship touching down on a rainbow runway in a field of fresh mint.

What are you working on now?

Finishing this record. Making remixes. Listening to yacht rock. The usual.

Chris Brown’s New Song “Beautiful People” (LISTEN NOW)

Chris Brown isn’t slowing down. The R&B hearthrob/crooner has announced that the release of his upcoming album “F.A.M.E.” will be March 22nd. The record, which will include mixtape hits like “Deuces (Remix),” “Yeah 3x” and “Look At Me Now” may also boast collabos from Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Justin Bieber and Game.


The album’s title stands for “Forgiving All My Enemies” and marks a return to true form for the singer. Chris will embark on a “F.A.M.E.” tour beginning in April.
Chris has also announced that he will perform on “Saturday Night Live” with comedian, and husband to Katy Perry, Russell Brand who will be hosting. The episode will air February 12th.
Chris has also dropped new song “Beautiful People” Feat. Benny Benassi, and its as dance-y and uptempo as “Yeah 3x.” Chris’s musical prowess is all over the map.

Rihanna já está tendo problemas com seu novo clipe, "S&M", que estreou nesta semana.

De acordo com a revista britânica NME o vídeo foi censurado em 11 países já no dia seguinte à sua estreia.

O clipe contém cenas provocantes que remetem ao sadomasoquismo, o que já era esperado, uma vez que a própria canção se chama "S&M", a sigla para "sadomasoquismo".

A MTV planeja reeditar o vídeo para que ele possa ser exibido durante o dia em sua programação. Já o YouTube pede para que os usuários confirmem que são maiores de idade para assistirem o clipe.

Britney Spears revela capa e nome de seu novo disco

A cantora Britney Spears divulgou agora há pouco a capa e o nome de seu novo disco de estúdio.

O álbum se chamará "Femme Fatale" e chegará às lojas no dia 15 de março. Britney descreveu seu novo disco no Twitter como "sexy e forte, perigoso mas ainda sim misterioso, descolado mas ainda sim confiante".

Também pelo Twitter, Britney dedicou o disco aos seus fãs.

"Este disco é para vocês, meus fãs, que sempre me apoiaram e seguiram comigo em cada passo no caminho. Eu amo todos vocês!", escreveu a cantora.

O casal responsável pelo hit What's My Name (feat. Drake), acaba de ser confirmado no line-up da próxima edição dos prêmios Grammy.

A cantora Rihanna revelou, através de seu Twitter oficial, que realizará mais shows no Brasil além de sua apresentação no Rock in Rio 2011, no dia 23 de setembro.

Ao ser questionada por uma fã sobre sua vinda ao país, a artista respondeu que não irá se apresentar apenas no festival. Rihanna, no entanto, não revelou detalhes e datas dos demais shows.

Recentemente, Katy Perry também publicou no Twitter que o Rio de Janeiro não será a única cidade visitada por ela no Brasil.

Father of Hip-Hop, DJ Kool Herc, hospitalized.

 

According to a statement made by DJ Premier on his Sirius XM satellite radio show ‘Live From HeadQCourterz’, hip hop legend DJ Kool Herc has been hospitalized and is in need of financial support to pay medical costs.
While there’s no specific details on Herc’s illness, Premier claims that the hip hop veteran’s condition is deteriorating and that he has no medical insurance. “Kool Herc is very sick,” Premier revealed.
Herc, 55, is widely credited as being the Father of Hip-Hop and the creator of the breakbeat technique.
Herc originally hailed from Jamaica but, during the late sixties, reggae wasn’t popular with New Yorkers, so DJ Kool Herc spun rhythm and blues records to please his party crowd. During the breaks, Herc began to speak to his audience as he had learned to do in Jamaica. He called out, the audience responded, and then he pumped the volume back up on the record.
Herc’s DJ style caught on and his parties grew in popularity. He began to buy multiple copies of the same albums and used them to extend the breaks during which he chatted, as it is called in dancehall, with his audience for longer and longer periods. Sound familiar? That’s why he’s known for helping to “lay the foundation for a cultural revolution”; a revolution we know as rap.
He called his dancers “break-boys” and “break-girls”, or simply b-boys and b-girls. The obvious connection is to the breakbeat, but Herc has noted that “breaking” was also street slang of the time meaning “getting excited”, “acting energetically” or “causing a disturbance”. Herc’s terms “b-boy”, “b-girl” and “breaking” became part of the language of hip hop culture even before that culture itself had a name.
In his introduction to Jeff Chang’s book ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’, Herc wrote: “To me hip-hop says, ‘Come as you are’. We are a family. It ain’t about security. It ain’t about bling-bling. It ain‘t about how much your gun can shoot. It ain’t about $200 sneakers. It is not about me being better than you or you being better than me. It’s about you and me, connecting as one.”
